Border Section!

Yes! I am knitting the last few rows of the border section!  I made this much larger than pattern called for since I had 300 + yards of Jitterbug sock yarn and the pattern calls for 200 yards of DK weight yarn.  I will use up as much of the yarn as possible!  Happy New Year!

Finally Knitting Today!

Almost time for bed, and I am finally getting time on my day off for some knitting. Where does the time go???  Pulled out this lovely Jitterbug yarn and "Orbit" shawl by Janina Kallio, as I cast on for my birthday and have not knit on it since then - abandoned for holiday knitting!  So, today I chose this for my fifteen minutes of knitting.  Love this yarn, love the pattern and love the pattern designer!

Spinning Again!

I have not found the time to spin since our great Fort Worden weekend, so I had fun pulling out my Pocket Wheel to see where I had left off with this Abundant Earth Fiber.  Still a bit bumpy to spin, yet I think if I ply this loosely it will be lofty and squishy for a soft knit!

Bye Bye WIPs ~

The day has come when one needs to review one's Works In Progress and ask The Clash question, "Should I stay or should I go?"  Say Bye Bye to Bonnie, my ribbon tank top that was cast on a long time ago, perhaps in 2008?
Say Bye Bye to my baby blue lacey top that had hidden armpits that I could never locate in the pattern notes....
Both projects were listed on the blog as "On The Needles" items #1 and #2, yet both predate Ravelry. Now I can cast on more projects!
