Madrona Sweater!

Please note that this sweater is to be finished for next year's Madrona, in 2017, not this year's Madrona....as I would need to knit a lot faster to finish for Madrona 2016!!!! I do love this sweater, so far, so good! Custom Fit #2!!

Love Neon!

I love this neon yarn that was free at Ft. Worden retreat!  These helix hats are so cute and will be great for my "16 hats in 2016" challenge to provide teen hats in December, 2016.

Monday Spinning!

Back to spinning today, and this bump seems to be taking a long time to spin since I am so focused on the graduation blanket slog. This is still great fiber to spin, and I especially love the hot pink shooting through the fiber!

Second Teen Hat!

Cast on my second teen hat of the year, this time using the neon yarn from Ft. Worden. I think the teens will like these hats almost as much as Seahawks hats!

Only 3 Feet left to Knit!

I am making real progress on the graduation gift blanket! Youngest daughter compared the "perfect" size to the blanket I crocheted in the late 1970's, saying that one is the perfect length for a finished blanket....so I think I have three feet left to knit!

AP Bio Study Session!

First charity Teen Hat of 2016, modeled by my youngest as she studies for her AP Biology semester final- AP is Advanced Placement... I think studying in a newly knitted hat is a good study practice!

Two Thirds Done?

According to daughter that is graduating in 2016, and has requested this knitted blanket, "You're not done yet" when we held it up to her.Well, yes, I knew I was not done knitting yet, just trying to get an idea of how much more blanket slogging is in my future.... She said, "Just knit until you are out of yarn." Well, that could be a long time and a loooooong blanket!!!!

Road Trip Knitting!

Cast on another helix hat for road trip knitting, still using up my green Malabrigo and Highlander Alpaca!  Love these hats and looking forward to another year of charity hat knitting! 

First 2016 Spin!

Spinning again feels so great! Due to Christmas knitting this is my first spinning in six weeks! Yikes!  Looking forward to weekly spinning again, plus back to "Breed of the Month" spinning to as part of my ongoing learning too.

I love this great yarn that Jitteryknitter gave me for Christmas, dyed by our podcast friend, Danie, of One Twisted Tree! I searched Ravelry for a pattern that works well with variegated yarn, so I hope this knits up lovely and colorful!

First 2016 FO!

My first Finished Object of 2016!  Or, one could say my first Finnish Finished Object, as the designer of this Orbit Shawl is Finnish, Janina Kallio.  I love her designs! Happy Knitting in 2016!
