Arctic Lace ~

I've been thinking of the amazing Qiviuk that my sweet friend, Debbie Doo, sent me from her Alaska trip. She had said I should look into the book Arctic Lace, as it is about the knitters in Alaska, so I put it on hold at the library.... It turned out that Debbie Doo was correct about this book. Such inspiration about the yarn and the amazing women that knit out of this wondrous musk ox fiber. I cast on one of the sample scarf patterns, on my size 5 rosewood needles (big smile there!) and this Qiviuk is like knitting with cobwebs! Once I made it past the first knit row after the cast on, it was easier to knit. This will take me many many many hours of knitting.....
