Hard decisions ~

I never know which knitting projects to take on vacation. How do you choose? I think about the new projects I want to start, and those that I want to finish. I think of which projects I want to associate with that vacation. No cotton acrylic should cloud good vacation memories... I'm just saying.... Perhaps I'll find some great yarn stores and need to buy a memento of the trip, in the form of a new pattern that is representative of the area, or a special "home grown" local yarn. Or, perhaps I should take all my yarn, patterns and hope for some inspiration...
any advice?
