Better spinning ~

As I finished my Andean Bracelet plying, it was time to skein the 2-ply and then give it a mild bath.

As I looked at the yellow (first spinning) and the browns (second spinning) I smiled at how much more consistent the brown yarn looks in the size of the single plys.

A lot less roving is getting through to the ply, so the brown yarn is much more consistent in its thick-thin....a lot less thick!!! Hurrah! I'm improving!!!

Mine is still a bit thick and thin after a few years. I'm always so amazed at people who can spin perfectly even yarn so thin that they 3-ply it into sock yarn!

Beautiful pictures! I started to learn spinning for my work as a Historical Interpreter...but have been a bit sidelined by the birth of my 1st child - we are definitely doing more nursing than spinning these days! I'll enjoy nosing through your blog for inspiration - it's great to be able to share this hobby! Hooray!
