Spinning Manx Loaghtan ~

This is the next sheep breed to spin from my New Year's Resolution. Spin more sheep breeds and learn more about individual sheep breeds. I am having fun with this!!!

Less Twisted Shetland ~

Using Jessica's technique to reverse a "too tight" ply. It worked for the "too tight" parts yet unplyed those parts that were fine, so I didn't implement this technique to the best advantage for this Shetland. I will have to knit something with this and see if one can tell that the plying is a bit uneven!!

Dorset Horn Spinning ~

Sweater in one piece!

Wow!  This is looking like a sweater!  A REAL SWEATER!!  The pieces are all sewn together with the lovely mattress stitch, and there was enough seaming that I am dreaming of a "one piece top down" sweater for my next one.....we will see..... Does Custom Fit have any seamless sweaters? Now, for the button band pick up extravaganza!  What a great way to spend a Madrona Weekend, at a cottage on the water with two great friends, solving all our knitting challenges!

Mattress Stitch Time ~

Now is the time when I need to do 100 miles of mattress stitch to connect the sleeves and the fronts to the back.  This could take the rest of Downton Abby binge watch to finish this step!  Thank heavens we are at a lovely cottage with a beautiful view of the water, plus the bonus viewing of the pair of bald eagles circling for snacks.
