Dear Wheel: Oh, how I've missed you!

So great to be spinning again, just to take the edge off our long separation! This Christmas knitting has been taking me away from my sweet wheel!

Stormy Spinning!

Finally done with first bobbin! There's supposed to be a storm tonight with possible power outages, so I'm happy my Pocket Wheel will still be working!

Shetland Spinning!

Spinning the Shetland we found at Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival from Rogers Family Farm. Very different to spin as the fibers are long and bouncy, plus I'm trying to keep the tension loose to keep the singles soft... hope for the best!  P.S.  5th anniversary of my Pocket Wheel on October 8th!

Bobbin Two ~

This fiber is very slippery to spin, and I am finding I can't spin as thin as I'd like because it pulls apart. More training needed on this lovely fiber! It is going to be beautiful yarn!

Camel Silk!

Great to be spinning again! This is lovely camel silk fiber that I dyed at the 2016 Dye Day at the Barn. Great day with great friends and great fiber!

WOW! This amazing fiber is so soft and easy to spin, I can't believe how amazing this feels!  I purchased this last year from Dye Day, so I will definitely get more this year!

190 yards Merino/silk/alpaca ~

Whew!  This yarn did turn out to be beautiful, once plyed.  Just another way to say, "Orange can fix everything!"

Dark Dark Dark ~

Yikes, this is "so not my color" as it is very very dark.  The fiber had many colors blended of bronze, red, cream, black, brown and gold, yet spins dark.  Very soft and easy to spin....just dark! I hope the plying brightens up the final yarn!  This is also a merino/silk/alpaca from Taylor Fibers from Fiber Fusion.
