Clapotis Spring ~

As I've been looking out our window, and seeing our spring flowers being dashed by our rain, I wonder when I'll finally be able to take some pictures. Today is the day....
Here is Clapotis with Pink Friend and Trilliums.

Clapotis with daffodils.....ah, perhaps spring may be here to stay?

Quilt fun ~

There were hundreds of great quilts at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show this year, as always. We didn't sense a certain theme or pattern to them this year, just a great variety of creative handy work ~ and all of them done! Hundreds and hundreds of finished projects! what a concept~

Here are some fun ones: A rooster, for all of us chicken lovers

A flamingo, for all of us flamingo lovers

Two quilted car covers... I'm not sure why....but it was interesting...?

I'm not sure I understand these... but they are fun!

Clever chicks ~

Ever since Dolley has taught the other chickens how to zig and zag to squirt away when I'm trying to get them back into the coup at night, I've been noticing some strange activities in the yard... they are so clever...... :)

This comic was sent by a dear knitting friend from our Yarn Yoga group, as she knows how clever our chicks are!!

Enjoy (thanks, Sue!!!)

Results are here ~

Well, if you are following along, remember that my sister and I learned to dye silk yarn and a silk scarf with natural dyes at the Sewing Expo at the end of February. We were supposed to let the silk seep with the colors, and then wash out after a week of seeping. Well, the silk has been hanging in our laundry room for over a week now, and is ready to take pictures. The colors were not as vibrant as I had hoped, but still rather pretty. I asked rockin13 she felt inspired to take pictures of my silk... and she took up the challenge, and was inspired by... shoes?
I love this! "Shoes and Silk"

Flamingo Celebration

My sister made me an amazing quilt for my birthday ~ it is colorful, bright and packed with my favorite flamingos. The whimsy and delight is overflowing in this quilt! No one has ever made me a quilt before, although I have made many quilts for others ~ how wonderful to have some one love you enough to make a quilt! I am so blessed to have a sister that is talented and creative, and... loves me enough to spend the time and effort to make me a quilt. Thanks!!!!
